There can be no doubt that preventative care and early intervention give better results, make for a healthier, more productive society and work force, and have a better quality of life. For many of us, the Affordable Care Act, and by extension, the Maryland Health Exchange, Medicaid Expansion and CHIP were life changing programs, providing us access to care which would have not been achievable prior to its inception. Yet, our premiums are becoming prohibitively expensive and we are rapidly losing providers.

I will work for a solution which will not only provide access to quality and affordable care but also address the rising cost of prescription medication, and will work for an expansion of services to include dental and vision care. We need to work toward Single Payer Healthcare nationwide but in the interim we need a sustainable solution for Maryland residents.
